Introduction

Welcome to the 7 Elements of Music.

The idea for this blog began in 2003 during a conversation between Bernard Wright and John Anthony Martinez. The original plan was to write a book, but I soon realized that due to the subject matter, a book would be outdated as soon as it was published. Music is constantly changing, so it became apparent that a "living book" of sorts would be the best approach. Hence, this blog; it is intended to be a document extant, that can be modified over time, that would allow its readers to contribute their thoughts and ideas.

I look forward to sharing what I have learned over the years, and continue to learn, on these electronic pages.
